East Siang joins celebration of 150 yrs of “Vande Mataram”

PASIGHAT, March 23:  A special program marking the celebration of 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram” was successfully held at the DIET Institute, Pasighat, East Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh, on the occasion of Shaheedi Diwas.  The event was organized as part of a nationwide initiative to honor the sacrifices of freedom fighters and to celebrate the enduring legacy of Vande Mataram, which continues toinspire patriotism and unity among citizens. The program was graced by the presence of the District Art & Culture Officer, Shri Monnong Tayeng, along with DIET Principal Shri Tapang Taki  highlighted the historical importance of Vande Mataram and its contribution to India’s freedom movement. During the event, Principal Tapang Taki also addressed the gathering and shared his views on the importance of preserving cultural heritage and instilling patriotic values among students. He also gave an interview emphasizing the relevance of such programs in educating the younger generation about the nation’s history and sacrifices. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and local attendees, making it a meaningful and memorable celebration.
