"The Central Agricultural University"(CAU), Imphal

The CAU, was established in 1992 under the Act of Parliament "The Central Agricultural University Act, 1992" (No. 40 of 1992) dated 26th December, 1992. Atpresent there are six constituent colleges under the university located in six North Eastern states as under:

1. College of Agriculture, Imphal, Manipur

2. College of Agricultural & Forestry, Pasighat Arunachal Pradesh

3. College of Fisheries, Lembuchera, Tripura

4. College of veterinary & Animal Science, Aizwal, Mizoram

5. College of Agriculture Engineering & Post Harvest Technology Ranipool, Sikkim

6. College of Home Science, Tura, Meghalaya
